UN Confirms Belém (PA) as Host City for COP-30, the Climate Conference.

The United Nations (UN) officially announced this week that the city of Belém, in the state of Pará, will be the host city for the 30th UN Conference on Climate Change (COP-30) in November 2025.

The choice of Belém as the event's host city is crucial for participants to get up close with the forest and its riches, as well as its challenges, allowing them to experience the beauty and diversity of the region. It will be the first time that Brazil hosts such a significant meeting on climate change, and Belém will have the opportunity to welcome international leaders and discuss solutions for global warming and sustainability.

The Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP) takes place annually and brings together leaders from around the world to discuss measures to combat global warming and seek sustainable alternatives for the planet. This year's conference will be held in the United Arab Emirates, and the host city for the 2024 event has not yet been determined.

With the confirmation of Belém as the host city for COP-30, Brazil will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the global debate on climate change, reinforcing its commitment to environmental protection and the pursuit of sustainable solutions for the future.
