Amazon Connection Carbon Debuts at Pará Negócios with a Focus on Decarbonization

Updated: Nov 26

The Amazon Connection Carbon (ACC) is participating for the first time in the 11th edition of Pará Negócios, an event taking place from November 29 to December 1 at the Hangar - Amazon Convention Center. This Amazonian enterprise not only debuts at the event but also assumes a prominent role by spearheading efforts to decarbonize and neutralize emissions through an innovative partnership with the Commercial Association of Pará (ACP) under the NEUTRALIZE initiative.

With a mission to double the impact of its environmental actions, ACC aims to provide emissions inventory services to over 200 exhibition stands, facilitating carbon footprint compensation through the sale of certified REDD+ credits. Expected to attract approximately 30,000 visitors over three days, the event represents a unique opportunity for ACC to amplify its initiatives and cement its position as a benchmark in sustainability and climate solutions within the Amazon region.

On November 30th, the second day of the event, the CEO of Amazon Connection Carbon, Milena Peper, will deliver the lecture titled "COP30: Challenges and Opportunities for Environmental Consultancies in the Implementation of Climate Policies" to attendees present at the event. This presentation will delve into the pivotal role of environmental consultancies in preparing companies and governments for the demands of the global climate agenda, with a particular focus on COP30, which is set to take place in Belém.

Recognized as one of the leading business events in the Northern region of Brazil, Pará Negócios will feature over 200 exhibitors and is projected to facilitate the closure of more than 20,000 business deals. This edition is anticipated to double the economic impact of the event, solidifying its reputation as an essential platform for innovation, sustainability, and business networking.

Headquartered in Belém, ACC is a pioneer in offering solutions such as the quantification of greenhouse gas emissions, forest inventory services, and the commercialization of carbon credits. The company continues to reinforce its mission of connecting the Amazon to the world, elevating sustainability to new heights. This event represents a significant milestone in ACC’s trajectory, as the organization aims not merely to participate but to take a leading role in driving transformations within the carbon market.
